LinkedIn Showcase Image Upload Error

LinkedIn Showcase Image Upload Error

Have you added a showcase page on LinkedIn? Are you having issues uploading images onto your showcase page? If so, keep reading for solutions on how to upload images on to your LinkedIn showcase page.

When I started working on my first LinkedIn Showcase page, my images would not load properly. I looked online and couldn’t find a solution so I emailed LinkedIn Customer Service and asked for help. I thought I’d share what they said just in case anyone else was facing the same problem.

Problem: Images Not Loading on LinkedIn Showcase Page

I created three images and saved them all as .jpgs (one of the accepted file types for images):

  • Full Width Image: 974 x 330
  • Standard Logo: 100 x 60
  • Small Logo: 50 x 50

Using the latest version of Firefox, I tried to upload them onto my new showcase page. When I tried to upload them onto LinkedIn, I kept receiving an error. I emailed LinkedIn about the issue and within 24 hours they responded with five solutions (thanks, LInkedIn!)

Solution for Images Not Uploading on LinkedIn Showcase Page

Solution 1: Try saving your file as a PNG file and then try uploading it again, as this format often has better results.

Solution 2: Clear your browser cookies and then sign in to your account to see if the issue is resolved.

Solution 3: Make sure you have a current web browser version. LinkedIn works best with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox (excluding beta versions). Download the most current version, and then sign in to your account to see if the issue is resolved.

Solution 4: Disable your browser’s pop-up blocker settings.

Solution 5: Use a different Internet browser and sign in to your account.

I decided to give Solution 1 a try. I resaved all of my images as PNGs. I then logged in to LinkedIn and found the showcase page I wanted to edit. I uploaded my images, hit save and it worked! I didn’t have to try any of the other tactics but will keep this on hand just in case I run into the same issue later down the road.
