Courtney Klepsch is the recognized “digital darling” of Southern California. A busy 30-something wife and mother of two young boys, she shares her expertise and passion as a digital media strategist and social media specialist through her own website DigitalDarlingMedia.com. Courtney also is director of marketing for venture capitalist firm, Bootstrap Incubation, LLC, where she manages the marketing for the company’s portfolio. Her clients include a range of companies with a focus on biotech and healthcare.
From her first job with C-SPAN television in Washington, D.C., after receiving a degree in communications from Purdue University, to positions as online editor and manager for CBS and ABC stations in Chicago and San Diego, Courtney brings a wealth of understanding to the 21st century world of digital media. Early in her career she was a San Diego Society of Professional Journalists online multimedia package award recipient.
Today, through her website and blog, The Download, Courtney focuses on digital trends, using social media to build and promote small businesses and brands, and — for women entrepreneurs like herself — balancing work and family life.
Courtney’s talents reach beyond the digital edge. She instinctively knows how to leverage unique insights to gain broader exposure of digital content through mainstream channels. As a media relations specialist she has coordinated more than 60 appearances on CBS, Fox, NBC, CW, and the Today show. Courtney is both personable and conversational as she walks audiences through all things digital to build more understanding of an ever-expanding universe of information.
Courtney is a member of the American Advertising Federation and the San Diego Ad Club. She lives in Southern California with her husband and their two children.
