10 Tips for Creating Engaging Social Media Posts

If you can get your followers to share and engage in your posts, you will achieve better reach. Here are 10 tips to create engaging social media posts.

  1. Tag other people and companies in your posts
  2. Use hashtags appropriately
  3. Use shocking stats
  4. Quote an article or famous person; tag them in your post
  5. Mix-up how content is displayed using images, links and video
  6. Ask questions at the end of post
  7. Take surveys
  8. Invite your followers to ‘Caption This Image’ or ‘Fill in the Blanks’
  9. Use call to action – Tell fans what you want them to do.
  10. Keep it short by using 80 characters or less per post

    Your posts provide some very valuable insight. I head up the BD&Marketing group for a small contract manufacturing organization for the life sciences industry and just launched out first social media marketing efforts and plan this past year.
